LOVE your colouring, line work and limited pallet..
Only small suggestion I might make is to work more on smoothing out your linework around his face. Also, the bright light on his ear perhaps brings it foward just a -touch- too much.
the line work is messy cos i dont have a drawing tablet, just have to use a mouse. ive got a fairly steady hand, but unless i start using vectors, there is little i can do about it.
i like the way the lines change thickness, it gives it a fairly believable ink look. your right about the ear though, it was pure laziness that lead me to leave it like that...
its just another experiment tho, like my last few deviations.

(hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha) reminds me of a younger more naiive version of myself...
seriously though, this is some brillo stuff here, - did you use some kind of filter (photoshop-wise) to nail the lines down so perfectly, or are you really just that kick-ass. This shading too makes me squeal with joy. It kind of an involuntary thing...a smidge embaressing i feel...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
